General

Manuscripts should be type in double spacing on A4 sheets and should be numbered beginning with the title page. The first page of an article should contain only the title, first names, family name (underlined), affiliation and address of each author. The name of the author in charge of correspondence must also be given together with his/her telephone, fax numbers and e-mail address. It should be designated with an asterisk.

 

Types of manuscripts

 

Research Articles

  • Should contain an abstract not exceeding 100 to 150 words which should be provided typed on a separate sheet and 5 to 10 keywords 
  • The text should be divided into sections, such as the following: 1. Introduction. 2. Materials and methods. 3. Results. 4. Discussion. Acknowledgements. References, figure legends, tables and figures. These sections must be numbered consecutively as indicated. Subdivisions of a section should also be numbered within that section, for example, 2.1. Materials, 2.2. Sample preparation, 2.3. Size determination, etc.
  • The unit used in the text must follow the SI system. Equations should be numbered in Arabic numerals on the right-hand edge of the page: Eq.1.
  • Figures (which include graphs, diagrams photographs in black and white only) must be presented separately from the text. Colour figures can be printed only on special request of the authors to whom they will be invoiced. Figure should be numbered in Arabic numerals and referred to in the text. Figure captions, which should be presented in the form of a list on a separate sheet of paper, must be as concise as possible, but explicit so that the reader does not have to refer to the text for understanding. 
  • Tables must be numbered in Roman numerals and referred to in the text. Table captions, written above the table, must be as concise as possible. Footnotes, to be numbered consecutively in superscript throughout the text, should be used as little as possible.

Short notes

Presentation should be similar to full length manuscript except that:

  • These articles should not exceed 1,500 words or equivalent space. It should not contain more than two figures and one table.
  • The manuscript should not be subdivided into sections.
  • Abstract, keywords, and full reference list should be provided.

References 

  • References must consist of names and initials of all authors, year, title of paper, abbreviated title of periodical, and volume and first and last page numbers. 'Personal communication' and 'unpublished data' should be cited in the text only. Papers referred to as 'submitted for publication' must include the name of the journal to which submission has been made. Journal titles should be abbreviated according to the 'List of Serial Title Word Abbreviations' (available from International Serials Data System, 20, rue Bachaumont, 75002 Paris, France. ISBN 2-904939-02-8), in accordance with the International Standard ISO 4
  • Citations of the reference must be quoted in the text, numbered between brackets as followed [1] according the order of appearance and presented as shown:
